Can't You Read the Sign?: A customer arrives just as Squidward is closing the Krusty Krab.Bottle Episode: The entire episode is set at the Krusty Krab.SpongeBob and Squidward are scared, but when the figure moves into the light, he is revealed to be a young kid looking for a job at the restaurant. Bait-and-Switch Silhouette: A dark figure enters the Krusty Krab who bears a strong resemblance to the Hash-Slinging Slasher, the character from the horror story Squidward had told SpongeBob.
Meanwhile Spongebob had spent the previous evening watching a scary show and has developed a morbid fear of the dark. I have a couple of future Kindertraumas that will possibly fuel good memories to come.
